Cowgirl Softball Faces Texas A&M in College Station

Oklahoma State's Cowgirl softball team will play the Texas A&M Aggies in a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 8, starting at 5 p.m. in College Station. The Cowgirls are 27-11 overall this season and 3-3 in Big 12 Conference action following a 2-0 loss at Baylor on Sunday. Oklahoma State is led offensively by sophomore third baseman Mariah Gearhart who leads the team with a .342 batting average as the leadoff hitter and has scored a team-high 35 runs. Sophomore second baseman Alysia Hamilton is batting .327 and has a team-leading 38 runs batted in. In the pitching circle, right-handed pitcher Anna Whiddon has compiled a 13-6 record and a 1.64 earned run average. Lefty Sarah Odom is 12-4 and has a 2.25 ERA. Texas A&M is led offensively by Natalie Villarreal who is batting .350 with a team-high nine doubles. Holly Ridley is batting .309 with a team-leading 24 runs scored. The Aggies are 23-14 overall and 1-4 in Big 12 play. Oklahoma State will return home following the doubleheader to host the Missouri Tigers this weekend at the Cowgirl Softball Complex.
