Cowgirl Equestrian Hosts Summer Camps

The Oklahoma State equestrian program will host their first advanced skills camp at the Animal Science Arena in Stillwater, Okla. The camp dates will be from May 27-30 with a cost of $1,000.
Head coach Larry Sanchez has 16 years of collegiate experience, while winning three national championships. Coach Sanchez is complemented by associate head coach Suzanne Flaig. Flaig lead the Cowgirls to a number one seed in the Hunt Seat bracket at the Varsity Equestrian National Championships in 2008. She has also coached 12 individual national champions. Assistant coach Kayla Elmenhorst is in her third year with the team.
As a rider Elmenhorst was a member of two national championship teams and one reserve championship team.
The camp will focus on improving advanced riding skills. Participants will have the opportunity to work on specific riding techniques and learn more about the format of Varsity Equestrian and collegiate riding.
Participants of the camp will be staying in OSU campus housing across the street from historic Gallagher-Iba Arena.
Check in for the camp will be on May 27 from 3-5:00 p.m. Meals and transportation will be provided during camp. Registration from must be received by mail or electronically by May 1, 2009 and payment is due by May 10th. Please make checks payable to Larry Sanchez with EQ Camps in the memo line and send to:
