STILLWATER, Okla. (OSU Athletics ) — Oklahoma State sophomore Alysia Hamilton earned Big 12 Player of the Week honors, the conference announced today. This is the first time she has won the award.
Hamilton had a .611 batting average last week after going 11-for-18 through six games. She tallied 17 runs batted in through those six games, including a career-high six against Northern Colorado. She had two doubles, six home runs and three sacrifice flies on the week. She currently leads the Big 12 with 31 RBIs and averages 1.48 per game.
The Moore, Okla., native also currently leads the Cowgirls offensively with a .400 batting average and 26 hits, including four doubles and three home runs. She is also batting .457 with runners in scoring position going 16-for-35. Last season as a freshman, Hamilton earned second-team All-Big honors.
