Cowgirls Travel to Nebraska for Two-Game Series

Oklahoma State is 25-7, 2-0 in Big 12 play, and is coming off a 5-3 loss on the road at Tulsa. Sophomores Mariah Gearhart and Alysia Hamilton continue to lead the Cowgirls offensively with .352 and .351 batting averages, respectively. Gearhart leads the team with 31 runs scored, 22 stolen bases and a .496 on-base percentage. Hamilton leads OSU with 34 hits and 37 runs batted in.
The Oklahoma State pitching staff continues to excel with a combined 1.57 earned run average and is led by junior Anna Whiddon with a 1.21 ERA. She is 12-4 on the season with 102 strikeouts in 104 innings pitched.
Nebraska is 24-6, 1-1 in league play, and is on a five-game winning streak after defeating Texas A&M last weekend and winning two double-headers this week against South Dakota State and Drake. The Huskers are batting .304 as a team and are led by sophomore Julie Brechtel who is batting .394 with 26 hits and 19 RBIs. They are being led in the circle by senior Molly Hill who has a 1.12 ERA, a record of 14-4, 12 complete games and 93 strikeouts in 112.1 innings pitched.
The Cowgirls are 45-41 all time against the Huskers, including a sweep of them last year in Stillwater. OSU has a record of 12-16 in Lincoln.
