Kosgei Ready for NCAA Championships

STILLWATER, Okla. Â After hitting a provisional qualifying mark in the 3,000 meters earlier this season, Oklahoma State senior John Kosgei is set to run at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday in College Station, Texas.
Kosgei qualified in the event on Feb. 14 at the Husky Classic, where he ran a time of 7:55.95, the third-best time in school history.
Kosgei also hit a provisional qualifying time in the mile, but did not make the final field.
Oklahoma State freshman German Fernandez hit automatic qualifying marks in the mile, running a junior world record time of 3:55.02, and the 3,000-meter run, running an NCAA record time of 7:47.97, but will not be in action at the meet as he continues training for the World Cross Country Championships in Amman, Jordan.
