Cowgirls Host Auburn on Senior Day

Oklahoma State Equestrian will take on Auburn, the 2008 Hunt Seat National Champion, on Saturday at the Animal Science Arena in Stillwater. The Cowgirls enter the weekend ranked sixth in the Coaches Poll with a 6-5 overall record.
Oklahoma State will honor 15 seniors this weekend. The seniors being recognized are Lexi Archer, Charlotte Collingsworth, Sam Collingsworth, Lindsay Filkins, Lauren Huffaker, Catie Maquet, Cristen Morris, Jaclyn Osterstock, Jordan Pickelman, Jacque Roberts, Stacy Sexton, Devon Smithburg, Leigha Stevenson, Misty Stutsman and Sarah Summers.

Auburn comes into the show 6-2 and ranked second in the Coaches Poll. The Cowgirls are 4-1 at home this season coming into their last show of the season. In their last time out, Oklahoma State dropped a close show, 10-9 to TCU in Mansfield, Texas.
Oklahoma State is 6-5 in the English portion of competition and looks to increase their record Saturday.

The Cowgirls Western team is 6-4 this year, four of their wins coming in Stillwater. In the horsemanship discipline, the Cowgirls will show senior Jordan Pickelman, junior Suzanne Randolph, sophomores Margaux Tucker and Courtney Whitacre, and freshmen Mamie Tomlin and Nichole Chirico. Pickelman has an 8-2 record and one Most Valuable Player on the season, while Whitacre has a 7-2-1 record with three MVPs.

In the reining discipline, representing the Cowgirls will be senior Jacque Roberts, juniors Molly Tipton, Rachell Shobe, and Leah Kuehn, sophomore Bri Parnell and freshman Caroline Daniels. Kuehn owns a 7-3 record on the season with one MVP while Roberts and Parnell have each earned seven wins and two MVPs. Shobe holds a 6-3-1 record this season.

The Cowgirls English team is 6-5 on the year. For equitation over fences, the Cowgirls that will show Saturday are senior Jaclyn Osterstock, junior Ally Blais, sophomores Alice White and Erin Prutow and freshmen Taryn Nolte and Kaila Nix. In this discipline, Blais owns a 9-2 record with one MVPs.

Blais will also be riding in equitation on the flat. Along with Blais will be seniors Sam Collingsworth, Charlotte Collingsworth and Sarah Summers, and freshmen Jordan White and Sarah Brown. Charlotte Collingsworth has a 9-1-1 record this year while both Sam Collingsworth and Sarah Summers have an 8-2-1 record with two MVPs each. Blais has earned five MVPs and a 9-2 record this year, while Brown has a 7-3 record this season.
