Cowgirl Tennis Opens Conference Slate This Weekend

STILLWATER, Okla. Â The Oklahoma State Cowgirl netters open Big 12 conference play this weekend on the road at Missouri on Friday and at Colorado on Sunday.
The Cowgirls (6-5) start conference play with four straight road matches. The match against Missouri is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. and the match with Colorado is set for 11 a.m.
Missouri is 5-4, 1-0 in Big 12 play. The Tigers are coming off a win over Oklahoma to start their conference season. Mizzou is ranked No. 66 in the latest Campbell's/ITA tennis rankings.
Senior Jessica Giuggioli leads the Tigers in singles, playing all but one match at the No. 1 position this spring. Giuggioli is 4-5 on the season. She is likely to face OSU's JoAnne Karaitiana at No. 1 singles. Karaitiana is 7-2 in dual matches this spring.
Colorado is 4-5 and opens Big 12 play against Oklahoma on Friday. The Buffaloes are ranked No. 61 in the ITA rankings and have been ranked as high as No. 39 this spring.
Senior Franziska Jendrian is a leader for the Buffaloes. She is first on CU's list for career doubles wins and seventh in career singles wins.
OSU is coming off a 6-1 loss to Brigham Young on March 7 at the DeBois Tennis Complex.
