February 28, 2009 | Cowgirl Equestrian
On a morning where the wind chill was in the low teens, the Oklahoma State Equestrian team defeated Delaware State by a 16-3 margin at the OSU Animal Science Arena.
With the win, the Cowgirls improved to 6-3. The squad is in a tie for second in the Big 12 Conference standings with a 3-2 record in league competition.
OSU defeated the Hornets (4-7) in every aspect of the competition Saturday, and head coach Larry Sanchez was pleased with his team's effort.
"The girls handled the weather as good as possible," Sanchez said. "I was happy about our win after the girls were disappointed at Baylor. It was good to see their hard work pay off.”
