No. 6 Cowgirls to take on Delaware State

Oklahoma State's equestrian team will saddle up this weekend to take on Delaware State Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Animal Science Arena in Stillwater.
The Cowgirls (5-3) are looking to bounce back from a loss to Baylor two weekends ago. OSU still holds a 3-2 record in the Big 12, which is tied for second in the league. Following the loss, the Cowgirls dropped one spot in the coach's poll to No. 6.
Delaware's last time out was a two-show weekend against Baylor and Southern Methodist. The Hornets (4-6) split the weekend, dropping their show to Baylor while taking a victory against Southern Methodist.
In the Western portion of the show, the Cowgirls hold a 5-2 advantage over opponents this season. OSU has a stellar 6-0 record in the reining discipline along with a 4-2 record in horsemanship. Showing this weeked for the Cowgirls in the reining category will be senior Jacque Roberts, juniors Leah Kuehn, Rachell Shobe and Molly Tipton, and sophomore Bri Parnell. Parnell holds a 5-0 record this season while Kuehn and Roberts have picked up six and five wins, respectively.
In the horsemanship discipline, senior Jordan Pickelman, junior Suzanne Randolph, sophomores Courtney Whitacre and Margaux Tucker and freshman Nichole Chirico will represent the Cowgirls. Both Pickelman and Whitacre have only acquired one loss on the season, while Whitacre has compiled three MVPs this year.
The Cowgirls have earned a 5-2 record in equitation on the Flat. Showing in the discipline on Saturday will be seniors Sam Collingsworth, Charlotte Collingsworth, and Sarah Summers, junior Ally Blais, and freshman Sarah Brown. Charlotte Collingsworth has compiled seven wins this season while Sam Collingsworth, Summers and Blais have each reached the six-win mark while winning two MVPs a piece.
Blais will lead the Cowgirls in equitation over fences along with senior Jaclyn Osterstock, sophomores Alice White and Hannah Beresford, and freshman Tarn Nolte. Blais has earned seven victories and one MVP in this discipline.
