OSU Softball Travels to North Texas

STILLWATER, Okla. (OSU Athletics ) Â— The Cowgirl softball team will play a double-header against North Texas in Denton, Texas, on Wednesday with the first game at 4:30 p.m.

Oklahoma State is 8-4 and is coming off a 3-2 weekend in Orlando at the Comfort Suites Invitational. Junior Megan Castle and sophomore Alysia Hamilton each collected six hits bringing their season totals to a team-leading 12 and Hamilton had seven RBIs bringing her season total to 12.

Sarah Odom continues to lead the Cowgirls in pitching as she went 2-1 this past weekend. The sophomore struck out 13 while walking only one in 13 innings of work bringing her season totals to 35 strikeouts and eight walks.

The Cowgirls are 6-3 all time against North Texas, including a 1-1 record last season. The Mean Green are 7-4 this season including a 7-4 win over Iowa State. They are being led offensively by sophomore Mariza Martinez who has 16 hits, including two home runs and a double, five RBIs and 11 runs scored.
