Marta Tsivka is entering her first season as Cowgirl assistant coach. She is a 2007 graduate from Oklahoma State who played for two seasons with the Cowgirls from 2005-07.
"Marta is helping us so much," head coach Julius Lubicz-Majewski said. "She understands what this team needs, and the team really accepts her."
OSU Career: Won the Big 12 Championship at No. 5 singles her junior season. Had a .826 (19-4) winning percentage that season, which was good for the 14th best mark in school history. It was also the fifth best percentage for a Cowgirl in the Big 12 era. Her 19 wins ranks in the top 20 for single season wins in the Big 12 era and all of her wins came in duals, which is tied for the fourth best total in the same era by a Cowgirl.
Before OSU: Attended V. Stefanyk University for two years but did not compete in tennis ... won the Ukraine National Championship in the under 18 division ... also won the Polish National Championship in the under 14 division ... made the Turkey National Championship finals in the under 16 age group ... made the Istanbul Open Finals in the under 16 division.
Personal: Born February 26, 1985 ... Daughter of Yuriy and Lubov Tsivka ... has one brother, Yaroslav Tsivka ... wife of men's tennis assistant coach Yevgen Bondarchuk.
