Cowgirls Softball Travels to Houston

The Cowgirls are 3-1 after playing in the Kajikawa Classic last weekend in Tempe, Ariz. OSU is led offensively by junior Katelyn Bright and freshman Julie Ward. Bright has a team-high five hits in 11 at-bats, including a home run, and has scored six runs for the Cowgirls. Ward has three hits in seven in bats, two of those being homeruns. She also leads the team with 10 RBI's. Sophomore Sarah Odom is leading Oklahoma State pitching, throwing 12 innings and allowing only three earned runs and striking out 14.
On Friday, the Cowgirls will play North Carolina State and 19th-ranked Houston. OSU softball has never faced off with
The Cowgirls have an 0-1 all-time record against the Cougars, which beat OSU back in 2001. The Cougars are 3-1 this season and are led offensively by sophomore Jennifer Klinkert who has seven hits in 10 at-bats and seven RBIs.
On Saturday morning, Oklahoma State will play Texas State (2-3). OSU is 5-0 all-time against the Bobcats with the last meeting in 2007. The Cowgirls will then play Indiana twice, once on Saturday and once on Sunday. OSU is 9-3 all-time against the Hoosiers (0-4) with the last meeting in 1999.
