LAS VEGAS (AP) - Oklahoma State's James Anderson scored 19 points to lead the Cowboys past Bradley 68-57 in the semifinal round of the Las Vegas Invitational here Friday night at the Orleans Arena. It was OSU's first meeting with Bradley since the 1958 season.
Anderson was 7-of-7 from the free-throw line and had four rebounds. Ray Penn added 14 points, including nine straight in the second half, while Keiton Page had 10 for Oklahoma State.
An up-and-down battle throughout most of the first half, OSU took an 11-point lead with just over three minutes remaining before halftime on a three-point shot by Anderson. The Cowboys took a nine-point lead into intermission.
OSU hit a pair of threes by Page and senior Obi Muonelo to take a 15-point lead at the start of the second stanza. The Pokes led by 20 with 11 minutes remaining when Penn connected on a trey to make the score 52-32. Bradley went on a 7-0 run in less than two minutes to cut the lead to 13. The Braves cut the lead to eight with just over eight minutes to play, but Anderson made it 60-49 with 3:43 left and the Cowboys' lead never dropped below double digits again.
Taylor Brown led Bradley (3-2) with a game-high 21 points.
Oklahoma State (5-0) will play the winner of the Illinois-Utah matchup on Saturday night at 5:30 p.m. PT (7:30 p.m. CT).
