STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Keiton Page scored a career-high 22 points as Oklahoma State took an 80-58 victory over Prairie View A&M on Tuesday night. Transfer Matt Pilgrim recorded his first-career double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds in just 15 minutes of play.
Page hit six of 10 from three-point range and also tied a career high with four assists. Junior guard James Anderson extended his string of consecutive games scoring double figures to 18 with 15 points.
"The good thing is that we won," said OSU head coach Travis Ford after the game. "I thought Keiton found his stroke a little bit. I thought Matt looked good. But, it was very sloppy. Overall, we didn't play particularly well. We didn't come out of the gates very strong and we didn't shoot the ball very well. We have seen this in practice ... when James Anderson plays well, everybody plays well. When James isn't into it or not in the flow or whatever it may be, our team seems to struggle. He just means that much to our team."
Marshall Moses added 10 rebounds as the Cowboys out-rebounded the Panthers, 49-33.
Prairie View A&M (2-2) got 16 points from Darnell Hugee, 12 from Alex Richman and 10 from Dorian McDaniel.
It was Oklahoma State's 20th consecutive win at home against non-conference opponents.
Oklahoma State (4-0) will return to action on Friday night as the Cowboys face their old Missouri Valley Conference rivals, the Bradley Braves, in the semifinals of the HoopTV Las Vegas Invitational. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. PT (7 p.m. CT).
