Cowboys Travel to NCAA Championships

The Basics
The Oklahoma State Cowboy cross country team travels to Terre Haute, Ind., on Monday for the NCAA Championships.
The 10,000-meter race is set to begin at 11:08 a.m. CST.
The LaVern Gibson Championship Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center will serve as the host course.
Junior Cowgirl Mihaela Susa will compete individually in the women's 6000-meter race, set to go approximately an hour following the men's race.
On the Air and On the Web The NCAA Championships will be broadcast live for the third-straight year.
This year's Championships can be seen on VERSUS for the first time and marks the first time they have been broadcast in high definition.
The races will also be streamed live on NCAA.com
OSU Lineups
The Cowboys will look to their big five of German Fernandez, Ryan Vail, John Kosgei, Colby Lowe and Girma Mecheso to lead them at the NCAA Championships.
They will be joined by David Chirchir, Daniel Watts, John Stublaski, Ryan Little and Ryan Prentice.
Last Time Out
The Cowboys won their fifth-consecutive NCAA Midwest Region championship with a conservative approach that landed seven runners on the all-region team.
OSU had six runners finish ninth through 14th and another finish 16th.
NCAA Rewind...2008
OSU entered the 2008 NCAA Championships with high expectations and a No. 2 ranking after its first Big 12 crown.
However, an injury to German Fernandez and struggles from other Cowboys left them with an eighth-place finish.
John Kosgei and Ryan Vail earned All-American honors in 2008 with an eighth and 21st place finish, respectively.
OSU in the Polls
The Cowboys held on the No. 2 spot in the pre-NCAA United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association rankings. Stanford is ranked No. 1.
In the USTFCCCA Midwest Region rankings, the Cowboys are No. 1.
