Cowboy Baseball To Hold Fall World Series

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State will conclude fall baseball practices with an intrasquad series next week at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
The five-game series will begin with a game Monday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. Games on Tuesday and Wednesday are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., with the start times of the Thursday and Friday contests yet to be determined. All games are open to the public, and there is no charge for admission.
The Cowboys' current roster includes 33 players, including 15 returners from last year's ballclub that finished 34-14 and lost in the finals of the NCAA Clemson Regional. Highlighting the list of returners are junior infielder Tom Belza, who hit .346 and collected 52 RBIs last season, and senior pitcher Tyler Lyons, who has racked up 19 wins on the mound over the last two seasons. Also returning is sophomore closer Randy McCurry, who tied OSU's single-season record for saves a year ago.
OSU's crop of newcomers includes a mix of 18 players from the high school and junior college ranks.
