Cowgirl Tennis Falls at Regional Championship

SALT LAKE CITY – Tough day for Cowgirl tennis players at the George S. Eccles Tennis Center as sophomore JoAnne Karaitiana and junior Nataliya Shatkovskaya fell in the doubles draw ITA Central Region Championships.
The Megale/Wlodarczyk Boise State tandem was too much for the Cowgirl duo, which fell 8-6 in the third round of the tournament.

Oklahoma's fourth ranked Ana Maria Contantinescu eliminated Karaitiana, 6-2, 6-4, in the second round of the singles draw.

The Cowgirls were unable to qualify for the ITA National Indoor Championships as they did not advance to this tournament's final match.
