• was tied for the team lead with 11 doubles and was third in hits.
• had a .983 fielding percentage and 56 put-outs.
• batted .750 (6-for-8) with a runner on third and less than two outs.
• struck out only 10 times in 167 at-bats.
• went 2-for-4 against UAB on Feb. 10 with a double and two RBIs.

at Kingwood High School (2003-06)
• lettered all four years for coach Susan Willis as the starting catcher.
• served as co-captain along with teammate Emily Blackburn for two seasons.
• was named first-team All-Greater Houston Area at catcher as a senior.
• earned first-team all-district honors three times.
• was named team Most Valuable Player and second team All-Greater Houston in 2005.
• had a .409 batting average her final season.
• also recorded seven stolen bases.
• played summer ball for the Texas Eclipse and coach Ken Glass.

• helped lead the team to a seventh-place finish at the ASA Gold Nationals in 2005.

Personal
Born March 21, 1988, Katelyn is the daughter of Mark and Mary Bright. She has a younger brother, Cameron, and a younger sister, Kelsey. Katelyn is majoring in business at Oklahoma State.
