Countdown To The Jamboree: Text Messages From The Cowboys

With the Cowboy Jamboree set for this Saturday at the OSU Cross Country Course, members of the Cowboy and Cowgirl cross country teams are preparing for one of the premier meets in all of college running. For freshman German Fernandez, it will be his first time suiting up in a Cowboy uniform. Here's what he had to say in OSU's weekly Text Messages From The Cowboys segment:
It's been another great week of training with the guys. I've been noticing that our team is looking better than I expected at this time. From what I heard, our times in workouts have been drastically faster than last year. Everyone is staying healthy and ready to roll this Saturday for the Cowboy Jamboree. I get anxious just thinking about it because I get to run my first collegiate race on our home turf. Hopefully everything goes well for me, I feel a lot of pressure, but I know once I step to the line I'm in a whole different dimension. Overall this week is very important for the cross country team so I hope we see OSU fans go to the race for support.
