Blais Wins Flat Class at Capital Challenge

Cowgirl equestrian standout Ally Blais had a successful weekend of competition at the Capital Challenge last weekend in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
A junior for the Cowgirls, Blais competed on her personal horse for the first time in months and thrived against the field of riders.
During Saturday's competition, Blais earned a sixth-place and a third-place finish in her first two classes. In the Flat Class, she captured a finished in first place in a field of 23 competitors. On Sunday, Blais earned first-place honors in her class once for the second time on the weekend.
“I had a great time,” Blais said. “My horse did well, and it was an awesome experience to compete at such a high level.”
Blais and the Cowgirls will be back in action against New Mexico State on Saturday, Oct. 11 in Stillwater at the Animal Science Arena.
