Coach Dave Smith added the Gatorade National High School Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year in freshman German Fernandez and the high scorer at last year's Southeastern Conference Indoor Championships In LSU transfer John Kosgei. Also joining the Cowboys were Colby Lowe and Ryan Prentice, both of whom were considered as prep stars in their own right.
On the women's side, Brittani Johnson, Victoria Fratczak and Kristen Gillespie could all step In and be key contributors after standout prep careers, with USC transfer Natalia Kovtun expected to make a difference as well.
