Three Cowgirls Named NGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. ÂThree members of the Oklahoma State women's golf team were named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team it was announced today.
Seniors-to-be Pernilla Lindberg, Amanda Johnson and Karin Kinnerud were all chosen to the squad, which is comprised of student-athletes with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and have competed in at least 50 percent of their school's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
An international business major, Lindberg received the honor for the second consecutive season. She was also named a first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection earlier this year.
On the course, the Bollnäs, Sweden native was named a first-team All-American by the NGCA as well as the Big 12 Player of the Year.
Johnson, who is pursuing a degree in accounting, was also named to the all-scholar team for the second year in a row. In addition, the Tulsa, Okla., native was named to the Academic All-Big 12 squad this past season.
Kinnerud was selected to the squad for the second consecutive year as well. The international business major was selected to the first team for both the All-Big 12 and Academic All-Big 12 squads as a junior. The Norrköping, Sweden, native's selection marked the second year in a row she has been honored by the NGCA.
