Vail Advances to 5,000 Meter Final at NCAA Championships

DES MOINES, Iowa – Senior Ryan Vail had a great outing for the Oklahoma State men's track and field team Wednesday at the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
Vail's 5,000-meter run time of 14:29.61 gave him a second-place finish in his section and a spot in the 5,000-meter run final at 9:35 p.m. on Friday.
Vail's season-best time in the event is 13:41.61, which is also a U.S. Olympic Trials “B” standard qualifying time.
Senior David Jankowski is scheduled to compete for the Cowboys in the 10,000-meter run final Thursday at 8:50 p.m.
