KU (7-8, 3-2) got off to a quick start in doubles play with an 8-3 win over Cowgirl seniors Yawna Allen and Iryna Tkachenko. Magdalena Tokarczyk and Maria Martinez defeated OSU's Jessica Collins and Maryna Tkachenko at No. 3 to pick up the doubles point for the Jayhawks.
Freshman Jo-Anne Karaitiana continued to play well for OSU as she picked up the team's lone point with a 6-3, 6-1, victory over
The Melbourne, Australia, native was impressive in doubles action as well, as her and freshman Sasha Belova picked up an 8-5 win over Lauren Hommell and Kunigunda Dorn at No. 2.
