Vail Wins Big 12 Title In 3000 Meters

LINCOLN, Neb. Â Oklahoma State's Ryan Vail won the Big 12 Indoor Championship in the 3000 meters by clocking an 8:06.58 Saturday as part of day two action at the conference meet in Lincoln. Vail's time marked his second NCAA provisional mark of the year. As a team, OSU finished 12th at the meet.
Also scoring for the Cowboys was Daniel Watts, who finished seventh in the 3000 meters with an 8:16.75. He and Vail were joined by David Jankowski (ninth place, 8:18.39) and Johnathan Stublaski (11th place, 8:19.39) as OSU runners who ran the 3000 meters in less than 8:20.
The Cowboys return to action on March 22 when they open the outdoor season at the Tulsa Duals.
