Cowgirl Lose Close Game to No. 10 LSU

Oklahoma State softball lost by two to the No. 10 LSU Tigers in the Cowgirls first game of the Under Armour Classic in Clearwater, Fla., on Friday.

The Tigers (22-4) scored a run in the first inning on a Cowgirl error and scored once more in the sixth on a solo home run to left field by Killian Roessner. Dani Hofer started for LSU and held the Cowgirls to four hits and allowed four walks. She improves to 11-2 on the season.

Amanda Crabtree pitched a complete game for the Cowgirls (13-12) and gave up six hits for one earned run. She struck out three and walked only two. She falls to 7-8 on the season.

The Cowgirls second game of the day against the University of South Florida was rained out and will be made up on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (ET). OSU will play Fordham following the USF game at 5:30 p.m. (ET) and Purdue at 11:30 a.m. (ET) on Sunday.
