Cowgirls Fall to Penn State at Home

The Cowgirls picked up the doubles point with dominant performances at No. 1 and No. 2, but failed to put the match away as junior Maryna Tkachenko fell to
“This is a disappointing loss,” said Cowgirl head coach Julius Lubicz-Majewski. “We didn't finish. We were leading in most of the singles matches that we ended up losing. Our girls did not play the way they are capable of playing today.”
In the No. 5 singles match, Tkachenko bounced back from a tie-break loss in the first set to capture the second set, 7-5. However, McCarthy took the third set in another tie break, 7-6 (4).
