Cowgirl Softball Hosts Tulsa Golden Hurricane

STILLWATER, Okla. ÂOklahoma State's softball team will host the Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Wednesday evening at Cowgirl Stadium. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m.
OSU is 21-8 all-time against TU including a 13-4 victory last season in Tulsa. The Cowgirls are 10-2 against TU in Stillwater.
This will be the first of two meetings with the Golden Hurricane this season. The Cowgirls will face them again on March 26 at the Border Wars in Fayetteville, Ark.
This past weekend, the Cowgirls hosted the Mizuno Classic and went 3-1 on the weekend. As a team, they hit two home runs and six doubles, including a pair of two-baggers by Kim Kaye. Junior Breana Casaus extended her hitting streak this weekend to eight games.
Sam Heinlein, Mariah Gearhart and Heather Kim also had a good weekend at the plate. Heinlein went 4-for-6 with five RBI's, Gearhart had five hits for six RBI's and Kim had seven hits in 11 at-bats including a home run.
The pitching staff was led by freshman Amanda Crabtree who picked up two wins and pitched two complete games, including a one-hitter against Texas Wesleyan. As a team, the Cowgirls threw 35 strikeouts and Crabtree had 19 of them.
