Cowgirl Equestrian to Take On Kansas State

The Oklahoma State Equestrian team (7-2) will travel to Manhattan, Kan. to compete against the Wildcats of Kansas State (4-5). The show will start at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the Fox Creek Farms in Manhattan.
The Cowgirls are coming off their first two losses of the season when they traveled to Georgia and Auburn two weekends ago when they lost two close shows. The Cowgirls are looking to bounce back after going undefeated for the first portion of the season.
The Cowgirls are 4-0 against Big 12 opponents, including a 17-5 victory over the Wildcats on February 2nd in Stillwater. The other three wins in the Big 12 have come against Texas A&M and two against Baylor.
Showing for the equitation over fences category in the English portion of the competition are seniors Bailey Mahoney and Natalie Chappell, junior Misty Stutsman, sophomores Ally Blais and Jaclyn Osterstock, and freshmen Hannah Beresford, Alice White, and Erin Prutow. Blais took home two victories two weekends ago, including an MVP when the Cowgirl's beat Auburn in the equitation over fences discipline.
In the second English category the riders for equitation on the flat will be seniors Bailey Mahoney, Michelle Woolschlager, and Brittany Myers, juniors Sam Collingsworth, Charlotte Collingsworth, and Sarah summers, sophomore Jen McLaughlin, and freshman Laura Conley. Two weekends ago Sam Collingsworth had a team high 86 in the team's loss to Auburn.
For the Western portion of the show the riders for the horsemanship competition will be senior Sam Davidson, junior Jordan Pickelman, sophomores Suzanne Randolph, Ashley Koch, and Kilee Stewart, and freshmen Courtney Whitacre, Margaux Tucker, and Lauren Olson. Davidson and Roberts both captured MVP's two weekends ago at Georgia and Auburn.
To round off the competition the riders for the reining discipline are junior Jacque Roberts, sophomores Rachell Shobe, Leah Kuehn, and Molly Tipton, and freshmen Brianna Parnell and Courtney Whitacre. The reining portion of the team is looking to bounce back from a 4-1 loss at Auburn.
