OSU Softball Splits a Pair of Games in New Mexico

LAS CRUCES, N.M. Â The Oklahoma State Cowgirls scored in every inning in their 12-8 win against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at the Troy Cox Classic on Saturday.
Freshman Amanda Crabtree threw her fifth complete game of the season and improved to 4-4 on the season. She allowed eight hits for seven earned runs and struck out 12 batters.
The Cowgirls (9-6) scored on an RBI-single by Heather Kim in the first inning, an RBI-double by Katelyn Bright and a sacrifice fly by Alysia Hamilton in the second, and a solo home run by designated player Megan Castle in the third.
OSU didn't allow a run until the Islanders had a big fourth inning and batted through their line up. They scored five runs off four hits and had four walks and had the lead 5-4.
The Islanders (5-5) scored two more runs in the sixth and one more in the seventh but it wasn't enough to defeat the Cowgirls. OSU scored one in the fifth and three more in the sixth, including a solo home run by freshman Mariah Gearhart, to win the game.
The Cowgirls are now 2-2 in the Troy Cox Classic and will look for a third win on Sunday when they take on
