Cowboys Drop Game at Washington, 83-65
December 05, 2008 | Cowboy Basketball
OSU took its biggest lead of the game at 11-9 four minutes into the game on a three pointer by James Anderson. Washington regained the lead on a trey by Thomas and never trailed again.
After trailing by 14 at halftime, 43-29, the Cowboys made a game of it in the second half. OSU cut the lead to 14 with 9:43 left in the game, but never got closer than that again.
Four Cowboys scored in double figures. Along with Muonelo's 18, freshman Keiton Page scored 12 points off the bench, including three threes. Seniors Byron Eaton and Terrel Harris each scored 10 for the Pokes.
Brockman got his fourth double-double in seven games this season for the inconsistent Huskies (4-3), who had their most impressive showing of the young season in their only remaining test before the Pac-10 season begins next month.
Oklahoma State (5-3) lost for the third time in four games. The Cowboys lost to then-top 10 teams Gonzaga and Michigan State last week. OSU will take a week off for finals before hitting the road again when the Cowboys travel to Corpus Christi, Texas, to take on the TAMU-Corpus Christi Islanders on Sunday, Dec. 14, in a 3 p.m. contest.
