Cowboys Take Down Islanders, 82-59

It was a see-saw battle throughout most of the first half as the Islanders took a 31-29 lead into the lockerroom at intermission. Muonelo had 16 points and seven rebounds entering the half.
Oklahoma State began to pull away to start the second period as the Pokes outscored TAMUCC 18-6 prior to the first timeout and led 47-37. The Islanders brought the game back within striking distance, cutting the lead down to four, but OSU ran away over the final eight minutes, outscoring Corpus Christi 23-6.
Byron Eaton finished with 10 assists while James Anderson added 16 points. Malcoln Kirkland, in his first career start, scored 10 on 4-of-4 shooting from the floor and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe. OSU shot 57.4 percent from the floor, including 76.9 percent in the second half.
Oklahoma State (6-3) returns to action on Wednesday night as the Cowboys host the Mercer Bears at 7 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
