Cowboys Drop Cross-State Rival Tulsa, 91-73

James Anderson and Ibrahima Thomas each added 18 points and Obi Muonelo pulled down a career-high 11 rebounds for the Cowboys (3-0).
Oklahoma State led by as many as 28 in building a 54-28 halftime advantage over the Golden Hurricane (1-1), who turned the basketball over 16 times in the first 20 minutes. The Cowboys committed just 10 turnovers while forcing Tulsa into 19 of its own. Oklahoma State also outrebounded the Golden Hurricane, 39-32.
A three-point field goal by Glenn Andrews with 10:35 to play cut Oklahoma State's lead to 13, but Eaton countered with a 3-point play and an assist on a Thomas dunk that quickly pushed the lead back to 18.
OSU scored 46 points in the paint compared to just 12 by the Golden Hurricane. The Cowboys also scored 15 fastbreak points to Tulsa's five. Oklahoma State shot 49.2 percent from the floor, but took 13 more shots than TU, which shot 50 percent. The Golden Hurricane made just 12 of 25 shots from the charity stripe.
Oklahoma State will return to action on Sunday, Nov. 23, as the Cowboys host Grambling State at 3 p.m. inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
