No. 5 Cowgirl Equestrian Takes on No. 8 Kansas State

Oklahoma State's equestrian team will compete against its third Big 12 opponent of the season on Friday when it takes on Kansas State at 11 a.m. in Manhattan, Kan.
The Cowgirls (3-2) are 1-1 in Big 12 action and coming off their first conference loss two weekends ago to Texas A&M, while the Wildcats enter the show with a 4-2 record.
OSU will be making its first road trip during their Big 12 season. The only other road trip the Cowgirls have had this season has been a 10-9 loss to Fresno State.
On Friday, the Cowgirls Western team will look for their fourth win this season after suffering its first loss to Texas A&M. In the horsemanship category, senior Jordan Pickelman and sophomore Courtney Whitacre will attempt to remain undefeated on the season. Joining Pickelman and Whitacre will be seniors Leigha Stevenson and Lauren Huffaker, juniors Suzanne Randolph and Kilee Stewart, sophomore Margaux Tucker and freshmen Nichole Chirico and Mamie Tomlin.
In the reining competition, senior Jacque Roberts, juniors Rachell Shobe, Leah Kuehn, and Molly Tipton and freshman Bri Parnell will compete. Neither Parnell nor Kuehn have lost this season and will look to keep the streak alive on Friday.
In the English portion of the show, seniors Sarah Summers, Sam Collingsworth, Charlotte Collingsworth, and Jaclyn Osterstock, juniors Ally Blais and Jen McLaughlin, sophomore Jessie Brothers and freshmen Sarah Brown and Jordan White will compete in equitation on the flat.
Summers is coming of an MVP performance against Texas A&M where the Cowgirls won this event. In the other English event Osterstock, Blais, Jordan White, and Brown will be joined by senior Devon Smithburg, sophomores Alice White and Erin Prutow and freshmen Kaila Nix and Erin Arnold in the equitation over fences.
