With your incredible support, the Athletic department has accomplished great things within a few years re-organized under Coach Holder's Administration. Notable achievements –
- set a new record in football season ticket sales
- set a new record in stadium attendance
- effectively marketed to OSU students (sales, attendance and energy level up...)
- provide family/fans a one-of-a-kind pre-game experience outside BPStadium
- launched new ticketholder features including TicketForwarding, TeamExchange and AccountManager
- increased POSSE memberships by 2300 new members
- launched Group Sales/Themed Promo initiative with unbelievable results ($425K realized to date; 14,000 tickets sold)
- launched an award-winning, first-class magazine
- launched many e-communications incl. POSSE e-news, student e-mail, blog, re-designed websites
- launched orange rewards – program gaining national recognition
- beat all conference peers in major gift fundraising; sold out east, south and north skybox suites
- secured $26M in commitments for endowed scholarships (directly following $100M stadium campaign...)
- vastly improved Cowboy Caravans; significantly improved attendance
- launched OSU Road Rallies modeled after Auburn program; an “instant tradition” for traveling fans
- executed $465K benefit auction; secured record-breaking 900 items and 800 attendees
- improved fan appreciation day, spring game and several other family-oriented events
- cleaned up facilities (while saving significant operational dollars) and improved game-day experience
- many other successful initiatives...
This message is to share progress, achievements and major accomplishments...but more importantly, express our sincere appreciation for your loyal support and generous contributions. It takes dedicated alumni, ticketholders, donors and friends of the university to achieve excellence in Division One Athletics – without state funding, you are the lifeblood providing resources for our 467 student-athletes to compete on and off the field.
