Cowgirl Tennis Players to Compete in Regional Championship

STILLWATER, Okla. – Four members of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team will compete in the Wilson ITA Central Regional Championship in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Thursday.
Cowgirl sophomore JoAnne Karaitiana will compete in the singles draw as well as the doubles with teammate Nataliya Shatkovskaya. Freshman Galina Semenova and senior Maryna Tkachenko will also compete in the opening round of the doubles draw.
The singles and doubles winners as well as the singles runner-up will advance to next month's ITA National Indoor Championship at the University of Virginia. Regional winners and finalists from around the country will make up the 32-player singles draw and the 16-team doubles draw.
Oklahoma State will join top players from Air Force, Air Force, Arkansas, Boise State, BYU, Colorado State, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Montana State, Nebraska, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Northern Colorado, Oklahoma, St. Louis, Tulsa, Utah, Weber State, Wichita State and Wyoming.
