OSU took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first when Katelyn Bright hit a double and scored on a base hit by Alysia Hamilton. The Cowgirls added a run in the second on a pair of walks and a base hit.
After Garcia's home run to lead off the fourth made the game 3-0, Oklahoma State made it 4-0 when Sam Heinlein scored on a base hit by Mariah Gearhart.
Arkansas' Jessica Robi led off with a home run over the left field fence in the bottom of the fifth, the only homer given up by the Cowgirl pitching staff during the fall. OSU added its final run in the sixth when Casaus walked, stole second and scored on a double by freshman Kelsey Anchors.
In game one, four different Cowgirls had 12 hits, including two each by Gearhart, Ashley Boyd, Heather Kim and Garcia. While the offense was on fire, sophomore pitcher Sarah Odom cooled off the NSU bats, allowing just one hit while striking out three in six innings as OSU won 8-0 in a run-rule shortened game.
Oklahoma State finished the fall season with 65 runs in eight games while only allowing four opponents to cross home plate. The Cowgirl offense batted .405 as a team, with eight players batting .400 or better, including a team-high .619 by Garcia.
