Oklahoma State Equestrian Holds Off Red Hawks

The Oklahoma State equestrian team (6-0) stays unbeaten after fending off Miami of Ohio on Saturday. The Cowgirls remain undefeated after beating the Red Hawks by a margin of 15-5 at the Animal Science Arena.
The Cowgirl English team defeated Miami of Ohio by a margin of 6-4. For the equitation on the flats discipline senior Michelle Woolschlager and juniors Sarah Summers, Sam Collingsworth, and Charlotte Collingsworth all took home victories on the day. Charlotte Collingsworth took home the MVP for this discipline today.
In the equitation over the fences category sophomores Ally Blais and Jaclyn Osterstock both captured victories. While senior Bailey Mahoney took home the MVP for the fences category.
The Western team took home the victory 9-1, while the horsemanship held a shut out, 5-0. Seniors LeeAnna McNally and Sam Davidson, junior Jordan Pickelman, and sophomores Suzanne Randolph and Ashley Koch all captured victories. Davidson added an MVP to her already impressive record for the season.
To finish things for the western team the reigning won by a margin of 4-1. Junior Jacque Roberts captured the MVP for the discipline. Sophomores Rachell Shobe and Molly Tipton and freshman Brianna Parnell also won their matches.
Overall on the day the Cowgirls captured the MVP in every discipline. Charlotte Collingsworth's score of 88 was one of the teams highest for the season. The undefeated Cowgirls will return to action on February 2 at the Animal Science Arena in Stillwater against Big 12 foe Kansas State.
