Cowgirl Golf Finishes 10th At NCAA Preview

Oklahoma State's women's golf team posted a 3-over 295 score during its final round at the Margaret Branch NCAA Preview on Wednesday at the UNM Championship Course to finish in a tie for 10th place.
The Cowgirls finished tied for the 10th spot with Georgia with a 54-hole total of 892, 16 over par. Duke held off a late charge by Southern California to claim the team title, as the Blue Devils' 860 total stood up for a one-shot win.
Individually, USC's Dewi Claire Schreefel posted a 15-under 204 total to finish four shots clear of the field.
OSU junior Pernilla Lindberg maintained her position among the top 10 on the leaderboard with a 1-under 72 on Wednesday. The Bollnäs, Sweden native finished in a three-way tie for eighth with a 5-under 214 total. The outing continued a solid start to the fall campaign for Lindberg as the 2007 first-team All-American has produced top-10 showings in both of her outings thus far.
After posting a 76, senior Tammy Clelland finished among the group tied for 45th place at 7-over 226, while junior Karin Kinnerud rebounded from an 84 on Tuesday with a 1-under 72 to finish tied for 58th at 229.
Junior Amanda Johnson finished tied for 68th after a third-round 75 resulted in a 232 total and sophomore Sarah Bradley carded a 78 to finish at 234 and tied for 79th place.
The Cowgirls will continue their fall slate on Oct. 5 when they head to Chapel Hill, North Carolina to take part in the Tar Heel Invitational.
