Cowgirl Golfers Finish Fourth at Mason Rudolph Championship

Oklahoma State's women's golf squad finished in fourth place at the Mason Rudolph Women's Championship on Sunday after posting a 287 team score during the final round at Vanderbilt Legends Course.
With their 1-under score, the Cowgirls tied tournament champion UCLA for the low round of the day and moved from a tie for fifth with Florida into sole possession of fourth with a 7-over total of 871. The Bruins finished at 13-under with a 851 total and cruised to a 14-shot victory.
Arizona State finished alone in second at 865, while Duke came in third at 866.
The Blue Devils' Amanda Blumenherst carded a 69 during her final round to finish at 203 and four shots clear of the field in the individual race.
For the ninth time in her career, OSU's Pernilla Lindberg tallied a top-five finish after firing her third consecutive 70. The Bollnäs, Sweden native ran together 14-straight pars to begin her round before posting birdies on Nos. 15 and 18 to secure a tie for third place at 210. Lindberg tied Auburn's Cydney Clanton and UCLA's Tiffany Joh for the third position.
Junior Karin Kinnerud matched Lindberg for the squad's low round of the day after putting together a six-birdie round, including back-to-back birdies to close her round. The Norrköping, Sweden native finished at 4-over 220 and tied for 22nd place after starting the day tied for 42nd.
Senior Tammy Clelland carded her second consecutive 73 to move up six spots into a tie for 36th place at 223, while junior Amanda Johnson maintained her tie for the 42nd position after carding a 74 for the second day in a row to finish at 224.
Sophomore Sarah Bradley recorded a 77 during her final round to finish tied for 48th place at 225.
The Cowgirls will return to action on Sept. 26 at the NCAA Fall Preview in Albuquerque, N.M.
