OSU To Launch Orange Rewards Program This Weekend

STILLWATER, Okla.--Oklahoma State's athletic department will begin its newly formed Orange Rewards program with the Cowgirl soccer team's home opener on Aug. 31 against New Mexico.
The program will reward all Cowboy and Cowgirl fans, including alumni, students and community members, with free prizes for attending OSU athletic events and has been graciously underwritten by Stillwater National Bank and P&K Equipment/John Deere.
“Orange Rewards is a way to say, ‘thank you' to our loyal fans for their passionate support of our student-athletes,” said Jason Penry, POSSE Director. “They're taking time out of their busy schedules to see our student-athletes perform and have a good time, and this is our way to reward them. Our loyal fan base is as good as anywhere in the country.”
The program is simple. When fans attend OSU athletics events they can stop by the Orange Rewards table to have their card stamped during their first 10 events or scanned after 10 events. Participants earn one stamp for attending any OSU athletic event in Stillwater, excluding men's basketball.
Once fans have attended a specific amount of contests, they will receive a free reward. The more events they attend, the more exclusive rewards they earn. Those attending 10 OSU sporting events will receive an Orange Rewards T-shirt. Twenty events land fans a Nike Orange Rewards hat and attendance at 30 games results in a Nike Orange Rewards duffle bag.
Later this fall, fans can check out an Orange Rewards online leader board for regular updates to see which fans have attended the most games.
“This program markets all of our teams and should increase crowd support. There's nothing that makes an atmosphere better than a full house," said Penry. “Our coaches tell us that it's something that will help them with the recruiting process, because all student-athletes want to play in an electric atmosphere.”
