Totte Earns All-American Status
May 31, 2007 | Cowgirl Softball
Courtney Totte was named a third team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, it was announced late yesterday.
The senior from Lawton, Okla. had one of the greatest single seasons in school history as she is one of just five players to hit over .400 and set school records with 14 home runs and 71 RBIs.
Totte is the first Cowgirl All-American since Lauren Bay was named to the first team in 2003. She was recently invited to the National Team Selection Camp by head coach Mike Candrea, but turned it down to pursue her professional career in marketing.
Totte was one of 25 finalists for the National Player of the Year Award when the list was trimmed in early April.
