Bohr Qualifies for Third NRHA Derby Appearance

For the third time in four years, Katie Bohr will represent the Oklahoma State equestrian team at the prestigious 2007 NRHA Derby in Oklahoma City Saturday.
Bohr is one of twelve collegiate riders chosen to ride at the derby. Four riders were selected for their performance at the Varsity National Championships held in April. Four more riders were selected for their performance at the IHSA nationals and the remaining were chosen for their performance in the industry.
Joining Bohr from the Varsity Equestrian National Championship performances, will be Maddi Williams of Texas A&M, Carrie Von Uhlit of Texas Christian and Sarah Weller of Kansas State.
Four the first time ever, four male riders have been selected to represen the IHSA. The University of Findlay boasted two riders in Travis Womer and Trevor Dare. Also selected, were Keith Ceddia of Ohio State and Jason Romney of Utah State.
The riders selected based on their performance in the industry competitions included three riders from Varsity teams. Ashley Griffith and Lindsey Jordan both ride for Auburn while Kate Stewart rides for Georgia. The fourth rider, Kate Stewart, comes from the University of Pennsylvania-Edinboro.
The Collegiate Reining Class will begin at 10 am at the Oklahoma State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.
