Softball Signs JUCO Standout to NLI
April 25, 2007 | Cowgirl Softball
Oklahoma State head softball coach Rich Wieligman announced the signing today of junior college player Jessica Meza to a National Letter of Intent.
Meza is an infielder for Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif., and she will have two years of eligibility remaining beginning in the spring of 2008. She has helped lead the Mounties to a 45-4 record, while hitting a robust .354.
Meza will have the opportunity to compete for immediate playing time with the graduation of shortstop Krystle Sanchez and third baseman Shianne Cruce.
“Jessica is a hard worker that will add consistency to the middle of our lineup,” Wieligman said. “We are excited to add her junior college experience to what figures to be a relatively young team next year.”
