Cowgirls Can?t Capitalize, Fall to Texas, 5-3

Texas scored a run in the sixth and a run in the seventh after Oklahoma State tied the game in the fifth on a three-run homer by Courtney Totte and the Longhorns earned a series split with the Cowgirls on Sunday afternoon at Cowgirl Stadium.
The loss drops OSU to 25-27 on the season and 3-10 in Big 12 play, while
Whiddon kept the Cowgirls in the game and Totte eventually tied the score in the fifth with a shot off the scoreboard in right field. Totte's home run tied the single season school record at OSU with 13 round trippers. The senior catcher from
Yesterday's starter Jessicah Hoppock relieved Whiddon in the sixth inning. Hoppock only allowed two hits to the Longhorns in the previous game, but she immediately found herself in trouble when she walked the first hitter she faced.
