Equestrian Completes Final Day of Competition at VENC

Both halves of Oklahoma State's equestrian squads placed on the final day of competition at the Varsity Equestrian National Championships Friday in Waco.
In the Hunt seat side of the bracket, the Cowgirls defeated rival Texas A&M, 5-3, to take fifth. In the flat, OSU got wins from Bailey Mahoney, Samantha Collingsworth and Michelle Woolschlager. Woolschlager came through with a Cowgirl-best ride of 165 on Friday.
In the fence competition, Jaclyn Osterstock and Paige Hortman nabbed wins to make the final score, 5-3.
In the Western bracket, O-State was defeated by New Mexico State, 6-1, and took fourth in the competition. The Cowgirls' lone win came from Brandi Thomas. The senior had an outstanding three days as she went unbeaten in her individual match ups.
