The Cowgirls added two more runs in the third inning on RBI doubles by Sadie Krywicki and Jenna Harmison.
Chelsey Barclay relieved Jessica Hoppock in the second inning and pitched the final 5.2 innings and allowed just one run on seven hits.
The bats went cold against
Anna Whiddon earned the start for OSU and threw a complete game, but yielded two runs on eight hits to suffer the loss.
Norris provided her own run support as she singled to plate two runs in the fourth inning. OSU's best opportunity came in the sixth inning when the Cowgirls had the tying run on second base, but Norris got Emily Blackburn and Shianne Cruce to strikeout and end the threat.
The Cowgirls resume play tomorrow against Wagner and tournament host
