March 28, 2007 | Cowgirl Softball
Oklahoma State hosts the annual Border Wars on Thursday as both Tulsa and Arkansas visit Cowgirl Stadium for a round robin series beginning with Tulsa and Arkansas at 3 p.m. OSU will then play a game against both teams beginning with Tulsa at 5 p.m., followed by a game against Arkansas at 7 p.m. Tulsa comes to Stillwater with a 17-18 record and losers of seven of its last eight games. The Golden Hurricane snapped a six-game losing streak against Central Florida, but they dropped the series two games to one. The Cowgirls defeated TU last week, 13-4, in a six inning run-rule. Every Cowgirl in the lineup except for Courtney Totte had a hit in the last meeting. OSU had a home run from Emily Blackburn and Shianne Cruce as the duo combined to drive in seven runs. Arkansas enters the Border Wars with a 12-30 record and losers of seven straight. The Lady Razorbacks last win came against traditional Big 12 power Nebraska. OSU won the only meeting last year in Tulsa, 8-1, and leads the all-time series 3-2. A ticket is good for all three games, and free posters and magnet schedules will be given away. Both Cowgirl games can be heard live on KGFY 105.5 FM with Bill Van Ness calling the action. What to Watch For
Shanel Scott needs five walks to set the career base on balls record at OSU. Scott is closing in on the single season Big 12 stolen base record of 47, Scott has 35 steals for the season. Courtney Totte needs four home runs and seven doubles to tie the single season marks, and she needs 23 RBIs to tie the career RBI record.
Totte Sets RBI Mark
Senior Courtney Totte set the single season RBI mark with an RBI double in the fifth inning against Wichita State on Mar. 27. It was her 52nd RBI of the season breaking the mark set by former Cowgirl All-American Jamie Foutch who had 51 in 1996 and 1997. Totte now has her sights set on Foutch's career record of 163. Totte has 140 career ribbies with 18 games left on the schedule.
Scott Walking into the Record Books
Senior Shanel Scott has already ran her way into the record books this season as the single season record holder in stolen bases and the career record holder in runs scored. She is on pace to set the single season record in walks and she is just four walks shy of tying the career record. Stephanie Nicholson currently holds both records with 36 walks in 2004 and she had 82 for her career. Scott currently has 26 walks this season and 78 for her career
Bottom Produces

Against Tulsa, the bottom of the order went 7-for-12 and drove in seven of the 13 runs scored in the game.

She ranks fourth with 15 doubles, fifth with nine home runs, ninth in total bases with 93, her .802 slugging percentage would be a new school record and she just set the single season mark in RBIs. Totte still has 18 games left to move up the charts even more.
