Cowgirls Fall at No. 33 BYU

Oklahoma State's 48th-ranked women's tennis team dropped the first of two road matches in Utah, 6-1, to No. 33 BYU in Provo Wednesday.
The Cowgirls fell behind early after getting swept in doubles play.
In was more of the same in singles play as the Cowgirls managed to win one singles match. The lone bright spot came at the No. 6 position where senior Jennifer Poskitt continued her outstanding play as she beat Dolly Chang, 6-0, 6-2, to win her fourth-straight match.
While OSU did not manage to win another singles match, a pair of Cowgirls, Yawna Allen and Marta Tsivka, fell in three sets.
Tsivka lost a first-set tiebreaker, 7-6 (4), but rallied to win the second set, 6-3. Kristina Hayasaka was too much in the end as she won the last set, 6-2, at No. 4 singles.
Allen took the first set, 6-4, at No. 2 singles against Lauren Jones but dropped the next two to lose her match.
The Cowgirls (8-3) will look to bounce back when they take on Utah Thursday at 1 p.m. (CST) in Salt Lake City.
