Totte Leads Cowgirls to Three-Game Sweep Over San Diego

Courtney Totte highlighted the day at the plate, as she extended her hitting-streak to nine games, while also finishing the weekend 8-for-9 by knocking out four doubles, three homeruns and10 RBIs.
OSU (18-16) jumped out early in the first game and never looked back, using a five-run first inning to propel them to a 10-2 run rule victory in six innings. Emily Blackburn's three-run double in the first helped fuel the Cowgirl explosion.
Jessica Hoppock earned the victory for the Cowgirls, scattering four hits over six innings and surrendering just two runs to improve her record to 10-9 on the season.
USD (12-13) avoided the shutout with two-run homerun by Nichole Valenzuela in the top of fifth inning.

Cowgirl pitcher Anna Whiddon picked up her second victory of the weekend in the circle as she went four innings, while allowing four earned runs on five hits.
The Cowgirls will return to the diamond Tuesday, as they will host Drake in a double-header with the first game starting at 5 p.m. at Cowgirl Stadium.
